Latest RnB Music Video Deals with Gay Bashing and Homophobia.

Filed in archive Artist News on February 8, 2012

RnB music artist Marsha Ambrosius has dealt with serious topics like homophobia and gay bashing in her latest RnB music video. The latest song "Far Away" is inspired by a personal event when a close friend of the RnB music artist attempted suicide.
The RnB music video shows Ambrosius with a man who appears to be her boyfriend as they walk in a park, greeting a bunch of people. Later the same man is shown kissing another man and the people shying away and showing hostility when this man re-enters the park holding hands with the other man.
The RnB music video then shows the gay man being assaulted in the backdrop of the American flag, and ends with the man unconscious on a couch, with a suicide note and pills nearby.
Ambrosius says this RnB music video speaks for those who don't have a voice.
