BayFest has been going strong for well over a decade in the heart of Mobile, Alabama. This city of 500,000 is the original birth place of Mardi Gras and not a bad place to visit. Though the beach might not be looking as pretty along this stretch of the gulf coast, there is still a lot to be enjoyed in the town of Mobile.
BayFest is a three day weekend festival that is known for attracting a variety of artists. There is usually good mix of rock, pop, and R&B music. What is even better about BayFest is the price. In a time when weekend music festivals require triple digit tickets just to get into the gate, a 3 day pass to BayFest is only $45.00. A single day pass will run you $30.00, and all children under 12 years old -- yes 12 get in free.
If you are looking for a fun weekend trip for you family and a way to see an R&B legend in person then take a trip down south to Bayfest this October 1, 2, & 3. Book your hotel now -- as they fill up fast. I recommend the Admiral Semmes. Have fun and I will see you there!
